Master of Science in Nursing (M.S.N.) Traditional Program – Online

Our Master of Science in Nursing Traditional degree, with three concentrations, supports nurses seeking leadership, informatics and educational roles in health care. The 100% online M.S.N. Traditional program is designed for professional nurses with current licensure. For those without a B.S.N., NSU’s Ron and Kathy Assaf College of Nursing offers a bridge course, allowing those with a bachelor’s degree in a closely-related field to enter the M.S.N. program. So, whether you hold a B.S.N. or another credential, we welcome you.

Master of Science in Nursing (M.S.N.) Advanced Practice Registered Nurse Program (APRN) – Hybrid Online/On Campus

Our hybrid Master of Science in Nursing APRN degree, with three concentrations, is designed to provide students simulated experiences and directed clinical practice in a specific concentration.

Choose from Three Concentrations:

  1. Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP) – Palm Beach campus
  2. Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) – Palm Beach and Tampa Bay campuses
  3. Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) – Miramar and Tampa Bay campuses

The first two semesters are completely online. The FNP & PMHNP programs meets one day every other week starting in the 3rd semester. The AGACNP program meets one day every other week during the 3rd & 4th semester. Starting in the 5th semester they meet once a month.

In as few as 8 semesters, you’re able to step into these roles with confidence and valuable experience. ***There are more than 12 courses in all 3 curriculums.

Doctor of Nursing Practice (D.N.P.)

As a D.N.P. student, you’ll identify health care problems that need practical solutions. Then, you’ll break down complex research and devise strategies and programs that solve those challenges. NSU's D.N.P curriculum is designed with 100% of coursework in an online format and a three-day Summer Institute. It can be completed in as little as 6 semesters and we offer a transition course for those without an M.S.N. Graduates are prepared to take on research roles and roll out programs to improve the field of health care. With your D.N.P. project, each student is able to craft their Doctoral experience to their area of interest and specialty.
